Pray Until Something Happens (#PUSH)
On Grief….
It may seem that grief is overwhelming. Even through your logical, always having the answers mind, grief is that heavy stone you don’t really know what to do with. Parents loosing a child, sons and daughters loosing a parent, sisters loosing brothers and vice versa. The weight of lose has a taste that is even saltier than tears cried at early morning or late in the midnight hour. The pain of lose is a deafening silence that each of us must bare in our own way….private.
“….in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
Out of deep sorrow comes great joy, however. It is a promise. I think to myself that perhaps this is really a gift from God reminding us that life is indeed short and fleeting. Perhaps this heavy stone of grief is a reminder that we must live each day to the fullest as if it were your last day on this planet. We all must leave this life as we know it at some point. It is inevitable.
As we greet the dawn of each new day, our grief is a call to prepare for the life yet to come. I want to live a life poured out completely and hear those wonderful words, “Well done!” I think of my close loved ones who left this time much too soon. I think of all of the unfulfilled dreams, the plans cut short, the paths not walked. It is my prayer that I be judged “empty” when my time comes. By that I mean I want to know that I did all that I could to release upon the earth all of the messages, thoughts and instructions that were whispered by my God. Messages, thoughts and inspirations that were not only for me but were whispered in my heart, mind and spirit to share with someone that needs to know His love and hope for a better day and to know His majesty. When my time comes I want to know that I was an example of everything He has inspired me to be so that somebody will be encouraged to keep going, keep praying, keep pushing.
Someone needs to hear, read, see these words today. I am called to release, “Thus saith the Lord” upon the earth. In Jesus’ name.
